My 3rd Birthday

A bike ride helped relieve the anxiety of my birthday preparations.

I had to build a toolbox to hold some of my party favors. The theme was Construction!

It came together nicely.

Mommy put together some really fun decorations that daddy forgot to photograph.

The best carpenters have pug apprentices.

The sand box was an awesome surprise!

I couldn’t dump sand out fast enough.

I think my friends really enjoyed the party mommy threw for me.

And everyone obviously enjoyed watching me play.

Blew out the candle!

Tractors make good forks.

My Weekend with Mommy & Pep

Daddy’s in Chicago so Mommy and I are having a weekend alone.

Pep started us out Saturday morning by waking up at 5:15 to demand breakfast. Then she moved onto some tootser kisses.

Mommy and I went out to breakfast in Christiansted as she has been craving pumpkin pancakes from her favorite breakfast place all week (she just wouldn’t stop talking about them).

We then let Pepper catch some views.

It rained so we ditched the beach and went home to work on a new BIG puzzle.

Off to BBQ place for lunch where I got some ballplaying in…

… and chased 5 Puerto Rican lizards! (Mommy decided to sit this one out.)

Another cold one, bartender Scott.

All the playing made me pooped for my nap.

Aw heck, if I knew I would be able to wake up and make chocolate oatmeal cookies I would gladly take a nap every day!

Of course I had to lick the spoon. MMM MMMM that’s so good.

On Sunday morning we drove to the rain forest to explore Estate Mount Washington Plantation (circa 1750). Those prisoners were really short!

I’m pretty nimble being able to hold my 4 tractors AND ring the bell!

I raced Mommy’s friend, Reena (Marina) to finish the labyrinth (in a Medieval design – cool!).

We then left, got Armstrong’s ice cream and went to visit the old Whim sugar plantation. It was family day and there was dancing and music, but I explored the ruins.

Back home to complete the puzzle by myself (after 3rd try!). Mommy coached me a little.

Look at the cool horse stable I built! What a good weekend.

Some Culture with my Fun

Bubbles are a good way to start a day.

I gathered water to build a castle at a new beach.

Then I noodle-dueled mommy!

One night we all went to the Jump Up party.

There was a steel drum band playing outside Daddy’s office.

And the Moko Jumbies that scare me.

Sunday was Mango Melee at the Botanical Garden. I was looking for seeds to grow a tree like this one.

You wouldn’t know we’ve had a drought by how good the mangos looked.

The Quadrille Dancers were very colorful.

I think I figured out their dance moves.

This bay is where Columbus landed when he came to St. Croix.

Honing my screwdriver skills before bed.

I’m making a MegaBlock cake.

Anyone can draw with one foot . . .

Only a prodigy can draw and color with both feet.

And a true visionary can draw a pug foot.

The cheese goes where?

I can’t be bothered with clothes. My seeds need to be watered.

Me and daddy got to listen to some caribbean jazz in the park.

No week is complete without a trip to the playground.

I got to do down the scary slide!

Field Trip

I only go to school three mornings a week right now. So, Mommy takes me on field trips on the other days. A couple weeks ago she took me to Fort Christianvaern.

Who wants to play catch with me?

The Fort has hallways made for Little Man.

And Little Man doors, too.

This wine or rum has got to be pretty well-aged by now.

We didn’t have any treats at the Fort.
